What looks right usually is right and the Veracruz looks good anywhere. Even parked it seems to be ready for adventure. So go ahead, don’t dream about it, drive it. As with all Hyundai vehicles, the Veracruz features a rigid computer optimised, and test proven, unitary safety structure, with load path distribution, crumple zones and reinforcements. The sophisticated suspension includes optional automatic self-levelling. Stopping power is from 17 and 16 inch front/rear discs, with EBD, ABS and 10 inch tandem boosters. For night extra night safety an electro chromic interior mirror with compass is standard. New SinterCast techniques and high tensile CGI materials, combined with new piezoelectric 1600-bar direct injection and electronically variable turbo systems, take the new 3.0 V4 S-CRDi right to the forefront of diesel engine technology. The 3.8 V6 Lambda engine features all-aluminium construction, cvvt, dohc and 24 valve technology to give economic, flexible, quiet high performance. Both are mated with new Hyundai 6-speed Shiftronic auto-transmission as standard.
The aerodynamic side-view mirrors are electronically operated for one touch adjustments and electronically heated to keep the view clear even in inclement weather. The elegant, sporty standard 17inch wheel features 245/65 R17 radial tires for great on or off road performance. For increased safety and visibility the rear light clusters are moulded into the side curvature. An equally stylish LED option, delivering increased brilliance and clarity, is also available. SAFETY & PERFORMANCE In bad road conditions any deviation from the drivers chosen path is detected by the sensors of the ESP which then activates the individual anti-lock brake needed to correct it. In the event of a rear impact, the active front headrests instantaneously and automatically move upwards and forwards to give optimal protection against whiplash. The driving precision of MacPherson strut front and multilink rear suspension maximises the effectiveness of the standard ESP and traction control systems. Dual front and side airbags for the front seat occupants, plus full length curtain airbags work together with the seatbelt systems to ensure full impact protection for all occupants.
240ps and 46kg.m torque from the 3.0 V6 CRDi place it at the forefront of Diesel technology. Advanced design also makes it quiet, responsive and efficient. Hyundai´s first 6-speed auto transmission uses Lepelletier gear architecture and an integrated TCU. The Shiftronic allows you to select ratios clutchlessly and directly. It is fully sealed so no more owner checks on the transmission fluid are needed. Whenever driving conditions demand, the sensors of the 4WD system automatically apportion power to the front and rear wheels through a multi-plate clutch system. Also the driver can select 4WD Lock whenever he needs extra traction. This automatically deactivates and returns to auto control at over 40kph(25mph) but reselects when the speed drops below that.
